National Disability Insurance Scheme
Fees for NDIS participants are:
Plan and Self-Managed Participants – $193.99 per hour for
all clinical work including face-to-face, client-specific communication,
preparation and documentation.
For plan-managed participants, travel is charged at $97 per
hour, and for self-managed participants it is $193.99 per hour. Travel is
capped according to the NDIS travel guidelines, based on the appointment
location. There is also a kilometre rate of 99c per kilometre.
Medicare
Valued Directions Occupational Therapy can provide services
covered by Medicare with an appropriate doctor’s referral. Susan is a Mental
Health Endorsed OT able to provide evidence-based psychosocial interventions
through the Chronic Disease Management Program (formerly known as Enhanced
Primary Care Plan) and the Better Access to Mental Health Services program.
Please note a gap payment will apply for all Medicare
clients. You are unable to claim a rebate from both Medicare AND your private
health insurance for the one session.
Fees for Medicare-funded clients are $220 per 50-minute session.
Full payment for services is required.
Travel, when required, is charged at the same hourly rate as
the service provided and with an additional kilometre rate of 99c per kilometre.
Private Health Insurance
A large number of private health insurers provide a rebate
for occupational therapy services. Please contact your health fund directly to
confirm your level of cover and eligibility for rebates.
**Please note you are unable to claim a rebate from both
Medicare AND your private health insurance. A gap payment will apply for
private health insurance clients.
Fees for Private Health Insurance clients are $220 per 50-minute
session.
Travel is charged at $220 per hour and a kilometre rate of 99c
per kilometre.
Full payment for services is required. A receipt will be
issued to enable the client to claim back from their private health insurer.
Private or self-funded
Fees for private or self-funded clients are $220 for 50
minute sessions.
Cancellation fees:
You can cancel or change your appointment without incurring any fees, as long as you provide at least two working days’ notice. A short-notice cancellation or failure to attend or be present for an appointment that is less than 2 clear working days' notice, could attract a cancellation fee of 100% of the total anticipated cost. Circumstances will be taken into account when possible.
